Acting Class with Patrick White hosting Scene Night on July 1
ALBANY — Acting Class with Patrick White is holding its 12th free Scene Night on Thursday, July 1, at 7 p.m. at Albany Barn.
There will be a short break serving free cookies and bottled water. Albany Barn is located at 56 Second St., Albany.
Twenty-two actors will be presenting 16 works; both scenes and monologues in this program which will last just over two hours. These works have yet to receive a Capital Region production and will feature five Pulitzer-winning playwrights.
Scene Night is a chance for the actors to perform dramatic and comedic material for an audience after eight weeks of rehearsing the scenes. Class meets Sunday mornings at Albany Barn and also has warm-ups, exercises, audition prep and games.
Actors range in age from 15 to 80 and have a vast range of experience. There are high schoolers, and those who have not been on stage since high school who are all excited about contributing to the support, health and growth of Capital Region theater.
