Curtain Call Theatre announces “Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End” to open May 20th
Curtain Call Theatre is reopening for the first time in over a year with the “Erma Bombeck: At Wit’s End” by Margaret Engel and Allison Engel, directed by Brian Clemente. At Wit’s End is a comic look at one of our country’s most beloved voices, who captured the frustrations of her generation by asking, “If life is a bowl of cherries, what am I doing in the pits?” Discover the story behind America’s beloved humorist who championed women’s lives with wit that sprang from the most unexpected place of all – the truth.
“Erma Bombeck” is a one-woman show, coincidentally ideal for a COVID-era production. The iconic humorist Bombeck takes audiences through her journey from a homemaker to columnist to feminist. The cast includes Terri Storti. Scenic and Lighting Design by William E. Fritz and Sound Design by Alex Dietz-Kest. Our Stage Manager is Jeffrey P. Hocking.
The play opens on Thursday, May 20, 2021, and runs through June 13, 2021. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays & Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 3 pm. There will be one Saturday matinee performance at 3 pm on May 29, 2021. Individual tickets are $28 each.
Curtain Call Theatre is dedicated to offering quality theatre in an intimate space. The theatre is located at 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham, NY 12110.
