Top Tips for Live Music (for the week beginning March 22nd)
The current chatter is that outdoor concerts at large venues might be able to resume in some fashion by midsummer, and that they may stay open further into the fall to compensate for the lost dates. Who knows if that will hold true, but (in line with that thinking) Tanglewood has canceled or postponed their June concerts, including the Trey show. SPAC has not (yet) followed suit, though Disturbed did cancel their entire tour, including their August date here.
On a more concrete note, the “summertime series” that happen all around the Capital District are starting to be announced. See below for schedules from Ballston Spa and Schaghticoke. These smaller shows were able to happen even in 2020, so we definitely should have these to look forward to.

Best bet: The Egg is promoting a pretty interesting live stream with Taj Mahal and Fantastic Negrito on Saturday. Terrific artists individually, they have apparently become friends, and this online concert affords an opportunity to see them perform both individually and together. Welcome spring in with a dose of the blues.
