Stories from a Bar #36, Dora Philip, The Hollow Bar + Kitchen
In the latest episode of Stories From A Bar I am joined by Dora Philip, Co-owner of The Hollow Bar + Kitchen in downtown Albany. Recorded on one of the best stages Albany has to offer (minus an audience of course) Dora and I have some drinks and chat about all things The Hollow and more.
Housed in what is known as the historic Brewster building Dora and her husband Mike opened The Hollow in 2013. The self-proclaimed city girl talks about how her time living in Manhattan influenced designing The Hollow and the recent renovations made while they were shut down. We also go on to discuss how local businesses are supporting each other, a virtual Pearlpalooza, and even some Yoga talk. As well as the incredibly important Save Our Stages and Restart Acts and how people can help keep great live music venues open.
So be sure to check out Episode 36 of the Stories From A Bar podcast to hear all about how The Hollow came to be, where they are today, and how to help save our stages. You’ll find episodes on Podbean, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, TuneIn, iHeartRadio, or YouTube. Subscribe, like, and follow Stories From A Bar on Facebook, Twitter (@StoriesFAB), and Instagram to see what’s coming up or general fun shenanigans. Also, a big thank you to Dora Philip for being on the show. Enjoy!
