LIVE: The Age @ The Linda, 7/27/20

The Age rolled into WAMC’s The Linda for a Monday Live Stream on July 27, 2020, as part of their (The Linda’s) YouTube Open For Take-Out Virtual Concert Series.

Though THE AGE (Adrian Lewis-lead vocals  and guitar), Brandon Rutski (drummer, back up vocals) & Marcelle Johnson (keyboards and back-up vocals), haven’t released a full album yet nor been together that long, they all met individually at Wolf Road’s Guitar Center emporium for everything that is instrumentally relevant. And decided to form a group.

They shared music ideas together and THE AGE was born lead by Adrian Lewis. He is a second generation musician. His father was part of the Lewis Brothers that started Atlantic Star back in the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s had many Billboard national hits.

Like the old adage goes, ‘The acorn never lands far from the tree.” And Adrian Lewis is no exception to that rule.

But ‘The Age’ is not cloning anything by any forefather, he is his own man playing an excellent electric-guitar and blending different contemporary music styles to express his thoughts on things like ‘Black Lives Matter’ and the modern landscape of a Black young-man in today’s America.

On October 14th (Wednesday) and 18th (Sunday) at 8 pm you can hear the concert in its entirety on WAMC’s 90.3 radio Broadcast. You’ll not be disappointed because the trio plays a set of amazing music!
