The Beat from Troy Music Hall #21, Just for Fun❤️💛💚💙💜
Summer is officially here! We hope you are getting out there and enjoying this phenomenal weather while maintaining proper distance and wearing your masks. If we all commit to doing it, we’ll all have to do it for a much shorter time. On that front, we have good news to report! If you are joining us July 9 for Jocelyn and Chris in our Drive-in Concert series, you can now sit outside your car to enjoy the show. Progress, it’s happening!
Reach out your hand if your cup be empty
If your cup is full may it be again

A Tribute to Led Zeppelin
The Kennedy Center Honors are awesome. Where else can you see members of Led Zeppelin, along with Yo Yo Ma, Stephen Colbert, and Bonnie Raitt jamming out to Heart’s interpretation of Stairway to Heaven?

Dolly Parton is a Saint
If you aren’t familiar with Comedy Central’s Drunk History, this is a great introduction! In this episode, host Derek Waters asks writer Seth Weitberg to explain the origins of the classic Dolly Parton song “I Will Always Love You.” The twist? They are both consuming a lot of alcohol, and believe it or not, hilarity ensues.
Language Warning – it’s all bleeped but we don’t want you to be surprised!
Get Your Bid Ready
This Monday you can watch, and if you are feeling flush you can participate, in an online auction hosted by Sotheby’s. From their invitation:
“Join us online on the evening of 29 June for a spectacular series of auctions in New York City. Watch live as masterworks of Contemporary, Impressionist and Modern art hit the auction block, in an ambitious series of three consecutive evening sales. Highlights of the star-studded night include Francis Bacon’s large-format Triptych inspired by the Oresteia of Aeschylus’, estimated to sell for in excess of $60 million, and Pablo Picasso’s defining Surrealist portrait of his famed muse Marie-Thérèse Walter, which is estimated to achieve $9-12 million.”
