Extraordinary Neighbors to Highlight Kindness in Capital Region during Crisis

WMHT Public Media (PBS – Public Broadcasting Service), is seeking submissions for “Extraordinary Neighbors,” a multi-platform project highlighting the extraordinary people in our community who are exhibiting kindness, creativity, and more to help their neighbors during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Extraordinary Neighbors” will be featured online on WMHT’s social media platforms and they will be accepting nominations at  https://www.wmht.org/ExtraordinaryNeighbors. A selection of entries will be included in montage interstitials on WMHT-TV.

As Fred Rogers of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood once said, “All of us, at some time or other, need help. Whether we’re giving or receiving help, each one of us has something valuable to bring to this world. That’s one of the things that connects us as neighbors–in our own way, each one of us is a giver and a receiver.”

WMHT will be sharing the stories of the “Extraordinary Neighbors” in our community. Nipper looks forward to reading them!
