Williams Chamber Players announce Free Performance on February 14th
The Williams College Department of Music will be presenting the Williams Chamber Players’ first performance of the new year in Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall on the Williams College Campus. This event will be hosted on Valentine’s Day, February 14th at 7:00 p.m. This event is not one to miss as it is open to the public and free of charge. So make sure to mark it down in your calendar!
The evening will start off with Mozart’s Trio in E Major, Nr. 3, K.542 performed by Violinist Joana Genova, cellist Nathaniel Park, and pianist Elizabeth Wright.
The next pieces will come from the influential twentieth century Bugarian composer Pancho Vladigerov: “Song from Bulgarian Suite,” op. 21, and “Bulgarian Rhapsody Vardar,” op. 16 presented by violinist Joana Genova, and pianist Elizabeth Wright.
The evening will conclude with Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet performed by Clarinetist Paul Green. Joining him will be Muneko Otani, violin; Benjamin Mygatt ’20, violin; Ah Ling Neu, viola; Nathaniel Parke, cello.
Founded in 1999 and coordinated by Doris Stevenson, the Williams Chamber Players is a faculty chamber ensemble that presents concerts for the college and community throughout the academic year. Concert repertoire is chosen with a special consideration to music of the 20th and 21st centuries, and to music by Williams composers. The musicians include artists in residence, artist associates, faculty members and visiting artists at Williams.
