Group Art Benefit for Pitney Meadows Community Farm in Saratoga: All is Safely Gathered In
Spring Street Gallery is pleased to announce the exhibit All Is Safely Gathered In, an exhibit to benefit Pitney Meadows Community Farm.
The public reception will be on Thursday, December 12 from 5:30-7:30pm at 110 Spring Street. All artwork will be for sale. Fifty to one hundred percent of the proceeds from this exhibit will benefit Pitney Meadows Community Farm directly.
Spring Street Gallery Director, Belinda Colón has invited artists from around the region to participate in this art benefit event. “Pitney Meadows Community Farm is an important part of Saratoga Springs agricultural legacy says Colón.”
Over 25 artists captured the inspiration of the community farm through mediums like photography, illustration, painting, fiber arts, and song. These regional artists have donated their time and a portion of their sales to Spring Street Gallery in order to raise funds for the Farm.
Some of the highlights of the evening will include Emily Petersen, food artisan, presenting a tasty spread of food including seasonal produce grown at Pitney Meadows Community Farm, performances by Saratoga Springs High School Fiddle Club, and songwriter’s Bob Warren and Diana Domingo of Vocal Voyaging.
“We believe strongly that the Farm serves as a place for community members to create and explore art. It’s just another way this amazing farm adds value to our vibrant community. We love welcoming artists to the land to explore and find inspiration and we are especially grateful to the artists in this show who have donated their works to support the sustainability of Pitney Meadows Community Farm.” – Brooke McConnell, Staff.
