Celebrating Family with Stories, Art and Song: An Evening at Caffè Lena
On Tuesday, July 30th, Caffè Lena is hosting a free night of stories, art, and song celebrating immigrant families’ stories. The theme for July’s edition of Immigrant Stories will be “Celebrating Family.”
“Immigrant Stories: In Their Own Words” is organized and sponsored by the Saratoga Immigration Coalition – a network of concerned individuals, faith communities and civic groups – and will occur bi-monthly through April. Together, the coalition seeks to welcome immigrants, raise awareness, show support and appreciation for the contributions of immigrants vital, but often unseen role in our community.
Evenings will consist of 3 to 5 speakers followed by time for Q & A (question and answers.) Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; Caffè Lena will be serving food and non-alcoholic drinks. Stories start at 7:00 with a brief break, followed by 30 minutes of questions and answers.
