Capital Roots brings Eating with the Seasons to Schenectady


Have you ever planted a garden, or joined a community garden share, and then not known what to do with the bountiful harvest? Then this workshop is for you!

Asparagus, strawberries, and rhubarb, among others, will be featured in this summertime cooking workshop offered by the Schenectady Public Library. The summertime harvest in New York State is blooming with delicious culinary possibilities. Join Capital Roots Educator, Francesca DiGiorgio, for an evening of cooking demonstrations and tastings that will feature fresh produce native to New York State in the summer, and learn more about how eating seasonally can be beneficial to your health and the environment

This free program is ideal for those ages 14 and older. It will be held at the Phyllis Bornt Branch & Literacy Center, Program Room 1, Tuesday, July 16th, at 6 pm. To pre-register you can click here.
