Grammy Award-winning veteran guitar hero Peter Frampton announced his upcoming Peter Frampton Finale: The Farewell Tour after revealing that he has been diagnosed with a rare and incurable condition called inclusion body myositis, which causes muscles to slowly weaken over time.
The summer tour will begin on June 18 in Tulsa and will make a stop at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on Sunday, September 1. Opening the show at 7:30pm will be Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening.
Priced from $29.50-$129.50, tickets are slated to go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (March 1).
In addition to leading the bands The Herd and Humble Pie, Frampton’s session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, among many others. And, of course, his classic solo album, Frampton Comes Alive!, is one of the top-selling live records of all time, with over 17 million copies sold worldwide.
