COMEDY: Maria Bamford @ the Funny Bone, Guilderland. Maybe you’ve seen her Netflix show, “Lady Dynamite.” Or maybe you’ve seen her on “Arrested Development” or “Louie.” Her stand-up is like no one else’s as she talks about things that nobody else talks about, and talks about them candidly. 7pm. $25.

MUSIC: Rebirth Brass Band @ Putnam Place, Saratoga Springs. The New Orleans parade band struts into the Spa City with the 21st century Big Easy sound. With the Piggly Wigglies. 8:30pm. $28.

MUSIC: Soweto Gospel Choir @ Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. On Sunday, they were singing “Better Man” with Eddie Vedder at the star-studded Global Citizen Festival in Johannesburg. Tonight, they continue the celebration with their concert, “Songs of the Free: In Honor of Nelson Mandela’s 100th Birthday.” 7:30pm. $25, $37, $45 & $55.

MUSIC: Bill Kirchen & the Hounds of the Bakersfield’s Honky Tonk Holiday @ the Hangar on the Hudson, Troy. Forget the “Nutcracker” and Handel’s “Messiah.” For a real taste of seasonal cheer, nothing says “joy to the world” like Bill Kirchen singing “Daddy’s Drinkin’ Up Our Christmas.” 8pm. $20.

MUSIC: Rubblebucket @ Jupiter Hall, Guilderland. The Brooklyn-based funk ‘n’ jam band brings their Sun Machine Tour to town. 8pm. $20.

THEATER: Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. Director Maggie Mancinelli-Cahill invites you to spend the holiday season with your favorite “Pride and Prejudice” characters, as they gather at Pemberley, the stately home of Mr. and Mrs. Darcy. 7:30pm. $22-$65. COMEDY: Comedy on Caroline @ Gaffney’s, Saratoga Springs. Erin Harkes hosts the laugh-filled night featuring Mike Baldwin, Ryan Shanahan and Jaye McBride. 8pm. FREE.

THEATER: Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical @ Proctors, Schenectady. The record-setting Broadway holiday sensation features the hit songs “You’re a Mean One Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” from the original animated special and other songs. Max the Dog narrates, as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday-loving Whos. 7pm. Through Sunday.

MUSIC: Jeanne O’Connor Trio @ Morton’s the Steakhouse at the Saratoga Casino Hotel, Saratoga Springs. The jazz singer is joined by Scott Bassinson on keyboards and Pete Toigo on bass. 6pm.
