“A Bread Factory” Snags Film Independent Spirit Nominations
Congrats go out to everyone involved in the indie film, “A Bread Factory,” which has been nominated for a pair of Film Independent Spirit Awards. Filmed in and around Hudson in 2017, the movie takes its inspiration from the life story of Linda Mussmann and Claudia Bruce, co-directors of Hudson’s Time + Space Limited, which hosted the film’s world premiere in September.
Written and directed by Patrick Wang, the film features a cast and crew from Hudson, as well as such stars as Tyne Daly, Elisabeth Henry, Nana Visitor, James Marsters, Janeane Garofalo and more.
“A Bread Factory” has been nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards Best Supporting Female Actor (Tyne Daly) and the John Cassavetes Award, which is given to the best feature film made for under $500,000.
The 2019 Spirit Awards will be held on Saturday, February 23 (the night before the Academy Awards) on the beach in Santa Monica, California and broadcast live on IFC.
