The Times Union arts writer reads from his newest book, “Washington’s Golden Age: Hope Ridings Miller, the Society Beat and the Rise of Women Journalists” (Rowman & Littlefield), a biography of the pioneering Washington author and journalist, Hope Ridings Miller. 12:15pm. THEATER: A Bronx Tale @ Proctors, Schenectady. The Broadway musical directed by Robert De Niro and Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks takes you to the stoops of the Bronx in the 1960s- where a young man is caught between the father he loves and the mob boss he’d love to be. 7:30pm. Through Sunday.
TALK: Sujatha Gidla @ NYS Museum’s Huxley Theatre, Albany. The writer and NYC subway conductor is the author of “Ants Among Elephants: An Untouchable Family and the Making of Modern India,” the story of a family’s attempts to achieve a better life against all odds, and one of the most talked-about books of 2017. 7:30pm.
