Win FREE TICKETS to Dwight Yoakam at the Palace Theatre on Sunday

Dwight Yoakam has released more than 20 albums, charted more than 30 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts and sold more than 25 million records. He has racked up five Billboard No. 1 albums, 12 gold albums and nine platinum albums, including the triple-platinum This Time. He has earned two Grammy Awards and was named the Americana Music Awards’ Artist of the Year in 2013.

Johnny Cash once cited him as his favorite country singer. Chris Isaak called him as good a songwriter as ever put a pen to paper. Time dubbed him “a Renaissance man,” and Vanity Fair declared that he “strides the divide between rock’s lust and country’s lament.”

In addition to his own considerable songwriting skills, he has recorded covers of hits by the Grateful Dead, Johnny Horton, Queen, Cheap Trick, Elvis Presley, Sonny & Cher and The Clash. And he’s recorded duets with everyone from Buck Owens to Beck to Sheryl Crow.

He’s acted in nearly two dozen films, including “Sling Blade,” “Panic Room,” “Wedding Crashers” and “Lucky Logan,” as well as writing and directing the 2001 film, “South of Heaven, West of Hell.” And he’s the most frequent musical guest in the history of “The Tonight Show.”

Yeah, he’s the one and only Dwight Yoakam, and he’s headed back to Greater Nippertown for a concert at the Palace Theatre at 8pm on Sunday (October 7). Tickets are on sale now, priced at $39.50, $49.50, $59.50, $69.50 & $89.50.
