MUSIC: Royal Jelly Jive @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. Fronted by the sultry and soulful vocals of Lauren Bjelde, the band plays a fusion of the jumpin’ jive of the 1940s, brass band music of the 1950s and ’60s, and today’s Gypsy punk as popularized by groups like Gogol Bordello and Golem. 9pm. $18.

THEATER: The Sound Inside @ Williamston Theatre Festival’s Nikos Stage, Williamstown. Emmy, Golden Globe and Tony Award winner Mary-Louise Parker stars in this world premiere drama by Pulitzer Prize finalist Adam Rapp, directed by David Cromer. 8pm. Through Sunday, July 8.

MUSIC: Bill Staines @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The veteran New Hampshire singer-songwriter-storyteller returns to his Spa City home-away-from-home. 8pm. $24.

MUSIC: Twisted Pine @ PS21, Chatham. Expanding on their bluegrass origins, the four-piece Boston-based string band has developed an infectious style which brings the enveloping sound and pop hooks of indie music to an acoustic instrumental setting. 8pm. $25; students $10.
