Body/Head (featuring Kim Gordon formerly of Sonic Youth) heads into BSP Kingston’s Back Room Theater on Friday, July 20 with the Steve Gunn-John Truscinski Duo opening the show at 8pm. Tickets are on sale now priced at $20.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Founding members of The Byrds Roger McGuinn and Chris Hillman team up with country star Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the classic Sweetheart of the Rodeo album at The Egg’s Hart Theatre this fall. IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The complete schedule of free concerts and festivals at Albany’s Empire State Plaza has been announced, including Blue Oyster Cult, Everclear, Faith Evans, Grand Funk Railroad, Toots & the Maytals and lots more.

New additions to the concert calendar at Club Helsinki in Hudson include Mason Jennings in support of his new album Songs from When We Met at 9pm on Friday, June 22 ($25 & $30); the Tim O’Brien Bluegrass Band at 9pm on Friday, August 10 ($30 in advance; $35 at the door) and the Hudson Dusters with James Hearne at 9pm on Friday, September 21 ($15).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The David Bromberg Big Band with Loudon Wainwright III are headed into the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall this fall. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Thursday (June 7).

Parish Public House has bolstered its upcoming line-up of shows with Polyvamp and Barroom Philosophers at 9pm on Saturday, June 16 ($10); Funk Night featuring Haley Jane & Friends at 9pm on Thursday, June 21 ($10); Singer-Songwriter Night featuring the Random Hubiak and Sam Gleason at 8pm on Friday, June 22 ($10); and Nashville soul-rockers the Amanda Broadway Band at 9pm on Saturday, June 23.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Palace Theatre in Albany has announced a pair of odd-couple shows – disgraced baseball star Pete Rose and young “America’s Got Talent”-winning ventriloquist Darci Lynne & Friends. Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10am on Friday (June 8).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Cohoes Music Hall welcomes 10,000 Maniacs and classically trained jam-band pianist Holly Bowling.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Egg has announced four more new concerts – Gordon Lightfoot, Madeleine Peyroux, Alan Doyle and comedian Jo Koy. Tickets go on sale on Friday (June 8).

CANCELLED: The all-star garage-rockin’ Split Squad – featuring members of The Fleshtones, The Plimsouls, the Baseball Project and Blondie – were originally slated to play at O’Brien’s Public House in Troy on Friday (June 8), but that unfortunately, that show has been cancelled…

OPENERS: Health and Field Magic have been added as openers for The Neighbourhood at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 8pm on Saturday, June 23… And the Kids have been added to the Rockin’ on the River schedule as the opening act for Rubblebucket on Wednesday, August 1 in Troy’s Riverfront Park… In support of his recently released debut album Only Human, UK singer-songwriter Calum Scott opens for a cappella group Pentatonix at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday, August 22.
