The Linda welcomes VickiKristinaBarcelona at 8pm on Thursday, June 28. Rachelle Garniez, Amanda Homi and Terry Radigan are a power trio dedicated to re-imagining the songs of Tom Waits via gorgeous three-part harmonies and a treasure trove of instruments including banjos, bottles and bells, creating a world of sound at once powerful, playful and poignant. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $15.

In support of their new album Blossom, Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch lead the German band Milky Chance in their Greater Nippertown debut at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 8pm on Saturday, September 29. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (June 1), priced at $30 in advance; $35 at the door. Also upcoming at the Upstate Concert Hall is Joywave with Grandson at 8pm on Thursday, August 2. Tickets are on sale now priced at $15 in advance; $17 at the door.

Yo La Tengo? Yes, that’s right, Yo La Tengo is headed into the Back Room Theater at BSP Kingston on Wednesday, September 12. Doors open at 7:30pm, and tickets are on sale now, priced at $35 in advance. What else do ya need to know?

Jazzstock is presenting the Lonnie Plaxico Group in concert at Kingston’s Senate Garage at 8pm on Thursday, June 14. Yeah, that’s exciting enough, but the band will also feature guitarist Marvin Sewell and the oh-so-sublime vocalist Cassandra Wilson. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $40 & $60.

Jupiter Hall in Guilderland has added a handful of new shows to its concert calendar, including Belmont with Rarity and Stick Up Kid at 7pm on Thursday, June 28 ($12 in advance; $15 at the door); Secrets with Saving Vice at 7pm on Monday, July 2 ($12 in advance; $14 at the door); and Chris Webby’s Raw Thoughts Tour at 6pm on Tuesday, July 31 ($20; VIP $50).

Next up in the Jazz at Atlas concert series at Newburgh’s Atlas Studios is Clarinet Madness at 8pm on Saturday, June 16. The quartet of virtuosi includes clarinetists Perry Robinson and Michael Marcus with bassist William Parker and drummer Jay Rosen. Tickets are $20. Also upcoming in the concert series are Ted Daniel and the International Brass & Membrane Corps on Saturday, July 21, and Matt Lavelle & the 12 Houses Orchestra on Saturday, September 29.

OPENERS: At Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, Mind Over Matter, Johnny 2 Phones and Suave the Don have been tapped as the opening acts for Warren G on Saturday, June 16. Also at UCH, Liz Cooper & the Stampede will warm up for Houndmouth on Friday, June 22.
