THEATER: On Your Feet! @ Proctors, Schenectady. The musical true-life tale of Emilio & Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, who broke through all barriers to become a crossover sensation at the very top of the pop music world. But just when they thought they had it all, they almost lost everything. 7:30pm. Through Sunday.

MUSIC: Brian Patneaude Quartet @ Arts Center of the Capital Region, Troy. Capital District Jazz Ltd. presents jazz saxman Brian Patneaude in concert with George Muscatello (guitar), Otto Gardner (bass) and Danny Whelchel (drums). 7:30pm. $20.

MUSIC: The High Peaks Bluegrass Band @ the Little Theater on the Farm, Fort Edward. 7pm.

FESTIVAL/MUSIC: The LakeGeorge.com Elvis Festival’s Opening Ceremony @ Shepard Park, Lake George. Get a run-down of this year’s schedule, and enjoy performances from many of the fest’s headliners. 7pm. FREE.

THEATER: Typhoid Mary @ Barrington Stage Company’ St. Germain Stage, Pittsfield. Matthew Penn directs Mark St. Germain’s searing drama about Mary Mallon (aka Typhoid Mary) and the controversy surrounding her steadfast conviction in her beliefs. The play not only examines the woman behind the myths, but also explores the battle between science and religion. 7:30pm. Through Saturday, June 16.
