MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: “Dylan 77” @ the Low Beat, Albany. Celebrating the 77th birthday of Bob Dylan, an all-star collection of Greater Nippertown music scene vets – including Bryan Thomas, Val Haynes, Todd Nelson, Ramblin Jug Stompers, Jim Gaudet, Rick Bedrosian, Mitch Elrod, Kevin Maul & Peggy Lecuyer, MotherJudge & Sten Isachsen, Jason Martin, Mike Kelley & Friends and more – delve into the rich, vast songbag of one of America’s all-time greatest songwriters as a benefit for Eden’s Rose Foundation and Albany Victory Gardens. 7:30pm. $10. MUSIC: This Is the Kit @ The Linda, Albany. Katie Staples leads the British band in their Greater Nippertown debut in support of their Rough Trade album, Moonshine Freeze and their new EP Moonshine First Goes, a collection of four acoustic first takes of songs. With Adam Schatz (of Landlady) opening the show at 8pm. $12.

MUSIC: Mama’s Broke @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The powerful duo came together on the road, which continues to shape their unique gritty style. Their complimentary voices blend to create haunting harmonies, while they artfully juggle an array of instruments including fiddle, banjo, guitar and mandolin. Original songwriting combined with folk traditions create a compelling performance, delivered with heart and raw energy. 7pm. $18.

MUSIC: The Security Project @ Bearsville Theater, Woodstock. Vocalist and former Nippertonian Happy Rhodes leads the all-star band – also featuring Jerry Marotta (drummer from Peter Gabriel’s first five records), Trey Gunn (King Crimson), Michael Cozzi (Shriekback) and keyboardist David Jameson – in reimagining the early work of Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush. 8pm. $30.

MUSIC: Misty Blues @ the Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield. he On The Stage Series gives audiences the opportunity to see their favorite performers, up close and personal, with artists and audience together on the historic Colonial stage as Misty Blues celebrates the release of their new album, Call & Response. With Born IV Blues. 7pm. $20.

MUSIC: Chandler Travis Three-O @ Dream Away Lodge, Becket. The tireless Chandler Travis leads his quartet in support of their new album, Backward Crooked From the Sunset. 8pm.

MUSIC: Monks of Doom @ BSP Kingston, Kingston. Featuring members of Camper Van Beethoven and Counting Crows. With Stephen Clair & the Pushbacks. 8pm. $12.

MUSIC: Warren Vache @ Senate Garage, Kingston. The next installment of Jazzstock’s concert series features the veteran trumpeter-corntist collaborating with the John di Martino Trio. 7:30pm. $25.

MUSIC: Eric Andersen @ The Falcon, Marlboro. A star of the ’60s folk era, his songs have been covered by the likes of the Grateful Dead, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan. He’s also collaborated with Lou Reed, Townes Van Zandt and Rick Danko. He takes the stage tonight in support of his brand new 2-CD career retrospective compilation, The Essential Eric Andersen. 8pm. ART/MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: “Drumming Up Support” @ the Opalka Gallery of the Sage Colleges, Albany. The art-meets-music benefit event for RISSE is a multi-cultural and sensory experience where art by refugee artists and works from our adult education project, “Refugees: Poetry from the Heart” intermingle with the rhythms of the Albany Women Drummers. Albany’s media arts company and alumni of YouthFX, RogueFX, debuts their mini-documentary about RISSE. 5pm. $40.

MUSIC: Bobby Previte’s Blueprints @ HiLo, Catskill. The acclaimed jazz drummer and one of his many bands. 8pm.

MUSIC: Jeanne O’Connor @ Carson’s Woodside Tavern, Malta. The jazz singer is accompanied by keyboardist Azzaam Hameed. 7pm.

ART/DANCE PARTY: “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now” @ Union College’s Schaffer Library Learning Commons, Schenectady. The closing dance party for the fifth Art Installation Series, “Branding the AfroFuture” by Stacey Robinson. 5pm. FREE.
