MUSIC: “I Celebrate Life” @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. A tribute to Jean Ritchie featuring Jean’s son Jon Pickow, vocalist Susie Glaze, fiddler Kenny Kosek and Grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist Dan Schatz, all of whom performed on the double album Dear Jean: Artists Celebrate Jean Ritchie.

MUSIC: Andy Stein & Glenn Crytzer @ the Glen Conservancy Hall, Glen. NYC-based violinist Andy Stein (Commander Cody & the Lost Planet Airmen, “Prairie Home Companion”) and guitarist Glenn Crytzer perform a tribute to Joe Venuti and Eddie Lang, two of the greatest innovators of 1920s jazz. They’ll be joined by saxophonist Jay Rattman and pianist Conal Fowkes for a swinging evening of tunes. 7:30pm. $10 donation.

MUSIC: Ethan Bortnick @ the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. Folklife concert series continues with the four-man string band based in Buenos Aires with members from Argentina, Mexico and the United States. THEATER: “Blithe Spirit” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. One highly spirited wife is fun, but two is fertile ground for this smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages from the witty pen of Noël Coward. Meet cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine (Gary Lindemann), re-married to Ruth (Brenny Rabine) but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and insistent Elvira (Yvonne Perry), who has been conjured up by a visiting “happy medium,” one Madame Arcati (Eileen Schuyler). 7:30pm.
