FILM: “Leaning into the Wind: Andy Goldsworthy”

It’s impossible to separate British artist Andy Goldsworthy’s art from nature, so it’s fortunate that German director Thomas Riedelsheimer is so intrigued by his work that he gives us a second intimate inside look at Goldsworthy’s process and philosophy – as well as his often ephemeral art – with the feature-length documentary “Leaning Into the Wind: Andy Goldsworthy,” Riedelsheimer’s follow-up to his magnificent 2001 doc “Rivers and Tides: Andy Goldsworthy Working With Time.”

“Leaning Into the Wind” is being screened at Upstate Films in Rhinebeck at 5:45pm on Wednesday, as well at Time + Space Ltd. in Hudson at 6pm on Thursday & Friday; 6:15pm on Saturday; and 2:15pm on Sunday ($9; students $7).
