FESTIVAL/READING: The Word Fest Night of Features @ Hudson River Coffee House, Albany. The 2018 festival kicks off with an evening of poetry and prose featuring regional poets and writers Harvey Havel, Danielle Pouliot, Adam Tedesco, Joe Krausman, Poetyc Visionz and Olivia McKee. MUSIC: Sidi Toure @ the Half Moon, Hudson. The acclaimed practitioner of Songhaï music has been honored with two National Arts Awards for best singer from his homeland of Mali. Now he’s touring the U.S. in support of his fourth album, Toubalbero on the Thrill Jockey label. 8pm. $10.
