DANCE: RUBBERBANDance Group @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center, Albany. Merging the fresh pulse of street dancing with the acute aesthetics of contemporary dance, artistic director Victor Quijada’s works explore human relations, focusing particularly on the passion of obsession, the brutality of violence and the delicacy needed for tragedy and comedy. The company will perform “Vic’s Mix” which spans the immense creative territory of Quijada, extracting from the choreographer’s repertoire and remixing his work. 7:30pm. $15.

TALK: Suzannah Clark @ Williams College’s Bernhard Music Center Room 30, Williamstown. The Harvard professor delivers a lecture titled “Cupid’s Arrow and the Conventions of Song in the Medieval Motet.” 4:15pm. FREE.
