Colony in Woodstock is hosting the Drive-By Truckers in concert at 8pm on Thursday, July 5. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $50 & $75. Also new on the Colony calendar are Stelth Ulvang (of Lumineers) with Y La Bamba and Byron Isaacs at 7pm on Sunday, May 13. Tickets are $10 in advance; $12 at the door.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Newly knighted Ringo Starr is bringing the current incarnation of his All-Starr Band to the Saratoga Performing Arts Center this summer.
What goes better together than golf and country music? Just askin’ because I really don’t have a clue. Anyway, country singer Chase Rice is returning to Greater Nippertown to play the second annual Concert On the Course as part of the the Fucillo Kia LPGA Championship at Capital Hills Golf Course in Albany on Friday, July 27. Local 518 fave Chelsea Sulkey opens the show. Tickets – which also include all-day admission to the golf tournament – go on sale at 10am on Friday, priced at $25; VIP $60.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: 27 time Grammy Award winner Alison Krauss is slated to make a tour stop at Tanglewood in Lenox this summer. Tickets are on sale now.
Led by trumpeter Mike Vax, the Stan Kenton Legacy Orchestra will play a concert at Monument Mountain Regional High School in Great Barrington on Sunday, April 15. The Monument Mountain Jazz Band will open the show at 7pm. Tickets are $25 in advance (available here); $30 at the door; students $10.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The first round of bands have been announced for the three-day FreshGrass festival at MASS MoCA in North Adams, including Trampled by Turtles, Yonder Mountain String Band, Indigo Girls, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Rhiannon Giddens, the Steep Canyon Rangers, Alison Brown, Della Mae and many more. Festival tickets are on sale now.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Multi-platinum pop singer Halsey is scheduled to make her Greater Nippertown concert debut this summer at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center with Jessie Reyez opening the show. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Thursday (March 29).
Austin rockers White Denim are headed into BSP Kingston in Kingston on Wednesday, June 27. Uni opens the show at 8:30pm. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $20 in advance; $25 at the door.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Australian Pink Floyd Show will be making a stop at Albany’s Palace Theatre on their Time 2018 tour. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday (March 30).
Capital District Jazz is presenting its Spring Jazz at the Arts Center concert series, kicking off with Cliff Brucker’s Full Circle Sextet featuring Leo Russo at the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy at 7:30pm on Tuesday, April 24. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 at the door. The series continues with the Brian Patneaude Quartet on Wednesday May 30.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: In Great Barrington, the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center announced a big batch of 10 new concerts, including Ani DiFranco, Melissa Etheridge, Whoopi Goldberg, Pat Benatar, Chris Botti, Postmodern Jukebox, the Paul Taylor Dance Company, Air Supply, Arlo Guthrie and The Wailers.
Starman: The Bowie Tribute lands at the Glove Theatre in Gloversville at 7:30pm on Friday, May 18. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $23 in advance; $26 at the door.

Jazzstock is presenting an evening with the duo of vibraphonist Joe Locke and pianist Jim Ridl at Senate Garage in Kingston at 7:30pm on Saturday, April 21. Tickets are $30.
