PERFORMANCE: “Stomp” @ the Palace Theatre, Albany. The international percussion sensation returns to Albany for the opening of a two-night stand. From its beginnings as a street performance in the UK, “Stomp” has grown into an international sensation over the past 20 years, having performed in more than 50 countries and in front of more than 24 million people. 7:30pm. $39, $49 & $65. MUSIC: “Sonic Borders II” @ Skidmore College’s Tang Museum, Saratoga Springs. Experimental composer, multimedia artist and performance artist Guillermo Galindo performs an original composition using instruments he has crafted from discarded objects found at multiple sites along the Mexico-U.S. border. 6pm. FREE.

THEATER/INSTALLATION: “This Was the End” @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. Director Mallory Catlett’s adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s canonical play “Uncle Vanya” is being transformed into a multimedia installation while in residence at EMPAC. 1-5pm. FREE. GO HERE for more info…

TALK/MUSIC: Rochmon Record Club @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. Chuck Vosganian digs deep and wide to create an entertaining, illuminating program of anecdotes, biographical and technical information and photos about CSNY’s Deja Vu. 7pm. $5.
