Albany’s Hollow Bar + Kitchen welcomes Driftwood at 9:30pm on Friday, April 6 ($12 in advance; $15 at the door) and Magic Beans with Let’s Be Leonard at 9:30pm on Thursday, April 12 ($12 in advance; $15 at the door). Also newly announced for the Hollow are the Last Revel at 9pm on Saturday, April 14 ($12 in advance; $15 at the door); Lydia at 9pm on Friday, April 20 ($15 in advance; $20 at the door); and Night Riots’ Dark Violet Tour with Courtship opening at 8:30pm on Saturday, June 16 (on Sale 10am on Friday; $12.50 in advance; $15 at the door.

The Big High Hills come to Art Omi’s Benenson Visitors Center in Ghent for a concert at 5pm on Saturday (March 3). The Brooklyn-based bluegrass-inspired psych-swamp-rock trio features Colin O’Con singing and playing guitar; Steve Pauley picking the banjo; and Tom Kotik thumping on the electric bass. Tickets are $10.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The one and only Metallica is slated for a rafter-rattling return to the Times Union Center. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (March 2).

Eastbound Jesus and the Mallett Brothers (featuring Jon Fishman) are teaming up for a double-bill at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs at 9pm on Friday, April 20. Tickets are $17 in advance; $20 at the door.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Taking some time off from the E Street Band, his acting career and his radio show, Little Steven will be leading the Disciples of Soul into Albany’s Palace Theatre. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (March 2).

The Calvin Theatre in Northampton is featuring Whose Live Anyway? – an improv comedy show featuring Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Chip Esten and Jeff Davis – at 8pm on Thursday September 13. Tickets are $39.50, $54.50 & $74.50.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Australian alt-singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett is headed to MASS MoCA in Northampton with Cameroon-born multi-instrumentalist Vagabon opening the show. Tickets are on sale now.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Music, comedy and theater… Hot Tuna, Blues Traveler’s John Popper, the John Butler Trio, Nick Swardson and Candice Guardino’s “Italian Bred” have all been added to the calendar for The Egg.

UAlbany’s radio station WCDB-FM celebrates its anniversary with a concert at the Low Beat at 7pm on April 22 featuring Bully, LVL UP, Shellshag and Swither. Tickets are now on sale, priced at $10.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: contemporary pop a cappella sensations Pentatonix are slated to step into the spotlight at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center this summer. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 12noon on Friday, March 9.

The Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton welcomes Blues Traveler’s John Popper at 7pm on Wednesday, April 18 ($49.50 in advance; $55 at the door); reggae pioneers Culture featuring Kenyatta Hill at 8:30pm on Wednesday, May 16 ($15 in advance; $18 at the door); double-neck guitarslinger Junior Brown at 7pm on Wednesday, June 20 ($26.50 in advance; $30 at the door); and The Nields’ 27th anniversary concert at 7pm on Friday, June 22 ($17.50 in advance; $20 at the door).

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: It’s gonna be a dynamic night of gritty blues-rockin’ when the Kenny Wayne Shepard Band and the Beth Hart Band team up for a co-headlining concert at the Palace Theatre this summer. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday (March 2).

Tekashi69 is headed into the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park at 8pm on Saturday, April 14. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $37.50 in advance; $40 at the door.

At Rivers Casino in Schenectady presents a dinner & show with comedian-impressionist Roger Kabler performing a Robin Williams tribute at 7pm on Friday, March 9. Tickets are $25.

SOLD OUT: The Five for Fighting concert at The Egg on Sunday, March 18 is now officially sold out.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: David Blaine is bringing his big bag of magic to the Palace Theatre in Albany. Tickets go on sale to the general public at 12noon on Friday (March 2).

CH-CH-CH-CHANGES: There have been changes in the line-up of support acts for the Motionless in White concert at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park on Tuesday, March 7. Chelsea Grin has dropped off the bill and been replaced by Like Moths to Flames, who will join Every Time I Die and Ice Nine Kills.

OPENERS: At the Cohoes Music Hall, Girl Blue will open for Ana Popovic on Monday, April 16, while The Age will warm up the crowd for Quinn Sullivan on Wednesday, April 18.

CANCELLED: Fiddle Blast – featuring Zoe Darrow, Katherine First, Sarah the Fiddler and Annika Amstutz – was originally scheduled for the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton on Sunday evening (March 4), but the show has been cancelled.
