MUSIC: Valerie June @ The Egg, Albany. MUSIC: Dropkick Murphys @ Albany Capital Center, Albany. After opening its door more than a year ago, the Capital Center finally hosts its first rock show – and it’s a doozy. With Agnostic Front and Bim Skala Bim. 7:30pm. $40.

MUSIC: “Saratoga Originals” @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The first show of a new series featuring local musicians from the Saratoga community. Tonight it’s Mark Tolstrup, Rick Bolton and Steve Candlen, each of whom will play a solo set before joining together for a final collaborative set. 7pm.

MUSIC: Bell’s Roar @ Albany Social Justice Center, Albany. Sean Desiree celebrates the release of the new CD, We Carry Us. With Alisa Sikelianos-Carter and Katani. 6:30pm.

ART ON SCREEN: “David Hockney at the Royal Academy of Arts” @ the Clark Art Institute, Williamstown. Featuring intimate and in-depth interviews with the artist, this revealing film focuses on two blockbuster exhibitions held in at the Royal Academy of Art in London: “David Hockney: A Bigger Picture” in 2012 and “David Hockney: 82 Portraits and 1 Still-life” in 2016. Director Phil Grabsky secured privileged access to craft this cinematic celebration of a 21st century master of creativity. 3pm. $12.
