EVENT: A Celebration of William Kennedy’s 90th Birthday & the 35th Anniversary of the NY State Writers Institute @ the Albany City Hall Rotunda, Albany. NYS Writiers Institute director Paul Grondahl, Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan and other local officials lead the celebration which will include a talk by Albany’s Pulitzer Prize winning author, readings, song and light refreshments. 7pm. Grammy nominee and multi-platinum R&B/pop recording artist Deborah Cox stars as Rachel Marron in the musical based on Lawrence Kasdan’s 1992 Oscar nominated film and adapted for the stage by Academy Award-winner Alexander Dinelaris (“Birdman”). 7:30pm. $20–$85.
