THEATER: “Chicago” @ Proctors, Schenectady. With a legendary book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, “Chicago” is now the longest-running American musical in Broadway history — and it shows no sign of slowing down. 2 & 8pm. Also at 2pm Sunday.
BURLESQUE: Roxxi Tart’s 1920’s Burlesque Revue @ Hudson Harbor Steak & Seafood, Albany. Roxxi and her troupe perform a night of fun-filled hi-jinx-infused burlesque from the golden age of jazz. 8pm. $20.
MUSIC: Albany Symphony Orchestra @ Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, Troy. Violist Richard O’Neill joins David Allen Miller and the orchestra for a program featuring Schumann’s “Overture, Scherzo & Finale,” Theofanidis’ “Viola Concerto” and the BIG one, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5. 7:30pm. Also at 3pm Sunday.
MUSIC: Bernstein Bard Trio @ the Falcon Underground, Marlboro. Playing an eclectic blend of old time, bluegrass, swing tunes and a touch of Latin music, reveling in the spirit of improvisation. 8pm. Donations encouraged.
ART ON SCREEN: “Canaletto and the Art of Venice” @ Clark Art Institute, Williamstown. Directed by David Bickerstaff, this first feature-length film of an exhibition from the Royal Collection includes interviews with Royal Collection Trust curators and behind-the-scenes footage of preparations for the exhibition, all shot in ultra HD 4K.
