MUSIC/CRUISE/FUNDRAISER: Albany Summer Jazz Cruise @ Dutch Apple Cruises, Albany. Heard plays the three-hour concert/cruise with proceeds going to community radio station WCAA-LP and the Madison Avenue Fire Fund. Boat departs the dock at 4pm. $35 (includes food).
MUSIC: Guerrilla Basilica Improvisations @ Basilica Hudson, Hudson. Mid-afternoon, avant-garde world music celebration featuring Art Omi’s newest cohort of international musician fellows, who will spontaneously create ensembles picked by the audience. 2pm. FREE.
MUSIC: Jen Chapin @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. The acclaimed singer-songwriter brings her unique style of soulful, jazzy “urban folk” to town as part of the Rogovoy Salon, a new music and literary series curated and hosted by Hudson cultural journalist and music critic Seth Rogovoy. 7pm.

MUSIC: Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center @ Saratoga Performing Arts Center’s Spa Little Theater, Saratoga Springs. The program features Beethoven’s “Sonata in E-flat major for Violin and Piano, Op. 12, No. 3”; Shostakovich’s “Trio No. 1 in C minor for Piano, Violin, and Cello, Op. 8”; Rzewski’s “Winnsboro Cotton Mill Blues” from Four North American Ballads for Piano; Beethoven’s “Septet in E-flat major for Winds and Strings, Op. 20.” 3pm.
DANCE: “Trisha Brown: In Plain Site” @ Clark Art Institute, Williamstown. A special site-specific presentation by the Trisha Brown Dance Company in which the audience follows the dancers as they move among locations. 1pm & 4pm. FREE.
