MUSIC/FILM: Philadelphia Orchestra @ Saratoga Performing Arts Center, Saratoga Springs. “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” the film that gave the world Indiana Jones will make its SPAC debut as John Williams’ epic score is performed live with David Newman conducting. 8pm.
MUSIC: The Hudson Dusters @ Bridge Street Theatre, Catskill. Foggy Otis, Jon Byron-Woodin and Raema Rotindo have a unique and original sound, driven primarily by ukulele, guitar and vocals. 7:30pm. $15; $10 students age 21 & under.
THEATER: “At Home at the Zoo” @ the Unicorn Theatre, Stockbridge. Directed by Eric Hill, Edward Albee’s “At Home at the Zoo (Zoo Story)” joins Albee’s classic 1959 play, “The Zoo Story,” with its prequel, “Homelife” (2004) written 45 years later. 2 & 8pm. $52. Through Saturday, August 26.

OPERA: “Xerxes” @ Glimmerglass Opera, Cooperstown. Countertenor John Holiday returns in the title role of one of the most brilliant scores in the Baroque repertory. History’s fierce Persian conqueror turns his attention to domestic affairs in a plot in which romantic attraction threatens to obliterate fraternal loyalty. 8pm. Through Friday, August 18.
MUSIC: The Ted Rosenthal Quintet @ the Lee Meeting House, Lee. Berkshires Jazz, Inc. presents a centennial tribute to the legendary pianist-composer Thelonious Monk. Pianist Rosenthal is joined by Mike Rodriguez (trumpet), Joel Frahm (saxophone), Martin Wind (bass) and Jimmy Macbride (drums). 7:30pm. $30.
THEATER: “Glitches in Reality” @ Wood Theater, Glens Falls. Last chance! The close-up magic act featuring illusionist Simon Coronel, is being directed by Chad Rabinovitz as a part of Adirondack Theatre Festival’s 23rd summer season. 2 & 5:30pm. $40.
OPERA: “The Seige of Calais” @ Glimmerglass Opera, Cooperstown. The story of courage and self-sacrifice in the year-long Siege of Calais during the Hundred Years’ War inspired composer Donizetti’s rarely-heard Italian bel canto work. 1:30pm.
MUSIC: Jerry Gretzinger in Concert: The Pack Is Back – The Rat Pack in Vegas @ Gardenworks Farm, Salem. A multi-course, locally sourced Farm-to-Table dinner followed by a cabaret concert in tribute to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr. 5:30pm. $65.
