Albany’s Alive at Five concert series welcomed some old-school hip-hop to Jennings Landing in Albany’s Corning Preserve last week.

The free weekly Thursday concert series played host to Naughty by Nature, the Grammy Award-winning New Jersey-based hip-hop group best known for their ’91 smash hit, “O.P.P.,” as well as “Everything’s Gonna Be All Right,” “Feel Me Flow,” “Hip Hop Hooray” and “Uptown Anthem.”

Members of the Beat*Shot Productions roster – including DJ Trumastr, Paul Nice and rapper JB aka Dirty Moses – kicked off the evening and kept the beat pumpin’.

The Alive at Five free concert series continues with southern rock veterans The Outlaws on Thursday (June 29). The Steppin Stones open the show at 5pm.

And if you want to hear more from the Beat*Shot folks, be sure to check out the ninth annual Beat*Shot Music Festival at Albany’s Hollow Bar + Kitchen from Thursday-Saturday, July 13-15.
