PS21: Performance Spaces for the 21st Century has announced its summer 2017 program of music, dance, theater, workshops and children’s events under the tent in Chatham.
Marking the inauguration of PS21’s twelfth season opening night will be a concert by Alicia Svigals’ Klezmer Fiddle Express. Other season highlights include the Rory Block Gospel & Blues Fest Weekend, classical piano concerts featuring Bach’s “Goldberg Variations” performed by Simone Dinnerstein and Chopin’s “Preludes” performed by Lincoln Mayorga.
In addition to the musical offerings, PS21 will host play readings and films about the American immigrant experience. Rounding out the season is the month-long Chatham Dance Festival, which features some of today’s most influential dance companies and a month-long residency by Parson Dance.
