Broadway star Gabriella Pizzolo (Matilda, Fun Home) and more than 30 top Greater Nippertown performers offer a musical performance of a locally written show highlighting the history of both SLOC and the City of Schenectady. COMEDY: Pretty Much the Best Comedy Show @ Proctors’ Education Center, Schenectady. Adrienne Iapalucci – semifinalist on season seven of NBC-TV’s “Last Comic Standing” – returns to headline in the Electric City. 8pm. $20.
OPERA: “The Bremen Town Musicians” @ Crandall Public Library, Glens Falls. Opera Saratoga performs John Davies’ children’s opera based on the Brothers Grimm folk tale, featuring the music of Offenbach, Rossini, Donizetti and Verdi. 11am. FREE.
THEATER: “An Iliad” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare’s adaptation of Homer’s great epic tale fuses words and music in a spare, modern production starring David Barlow. 3 & 8pm. Through Sunday, April 2.
