MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: The March Party @ Joe’s Garage, Catskill. Gala fundraising party for the Lumberyard Contemporary Performing Arts features, food, drinks and dancing to the electro-funk sounds of Jomama Jones, the Amazon alter-ego of performance artist Daniel Alexander Jones. 6pm. $175.
MUSIC: Ms. Lisa Fischer & Grand Baton @ The Egg, Albany. After four decades of singing background for icons like the Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan and Nine Inch Nails – and receiving a Grammy for her own song “How Can I Ease the Pain” – the knock-out vocalist is finally stepping back into the spotlight. 8pm. $34. THEATER: “An Iliad” @ Capital Repertory Theatre, Albany. Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare’s adaptation of Homer’s great epic tale fuses words and music in a spare, modern production starring David Barlow. 3 & 8pm. Through Sunday, April 2.
THEATER: “Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins” @ Bridge Street Theatre, Catskill. The true story of one of the worst opera “singers” of all time.
