MUSIC: Sarah Jarosz @ The Egg, Albany. After snagging a pair of Grammy Awards a month ago, the gifted multi-instrumentalist, insightful songwriter and singular
vocalist returns to The Egg in support of her latest album, Undercurrent. With the singer-songwriter duo of Kieran Kane & Rayna Gellert. 7:30pm. $29.50.
MUSIC: The Adam Ezra Group @ Caffe Lena, Saratoga Springs. The band takes time out from recording their upcoming album (due for release in June) to make their Lena’s debut. 7pm. $20.
MUSIC: Ladysmith Black Mambazo @ Skidmore College’s Zankel Music Center, Saratoga Springs. The five-time Grammy Award-winning South African vocal ensemble returns to the Spa City for the first time since the 2013 Freihofer’s Saratoga Jazz Festival. 7:30pm. $39, $44 & $49.
MUSIC: John Menegon’s Quartet East @ Senate Garage, Kingston. Celebrating the release of their new CD, Blew by Blues, the bass master will be joined by saxman Joel Frahm, pianist Nick Hetko and drummer Francisco Mela with guests Judi Silvano, Sarah James, Maryanne de Prophetis, Teri Roiger and trumpeter Aquiles Navarro. 7:30pm. $15.
THEATER: “Godspell” @ the Cohoes Music Hall, Cohoes. Park Playhouse kicks off its year round residency with a production of Stephen Schwartz’s classic musical as presented by Greater Nippertown teens. 8pm. $25; $15 students age 18 & under. Through Sunday, March 12.
