THEATER: “The Other Mozart” @ UAlbany’s Performing Arts Center, Albany. The true and untold story of Nannerl Mozart, the sister of Amadeus – a prodigy, keyboard virtuoso and composer who performed throughout Europe with her brother to equal acclaim but her work and her life faded away, lost to history. 7:30pm. $20; $15 students & seniors.

THEATER: “Wicked” @ Proctors, Schenectady. It’s opening night! The hit Broadway musical looks at what happened in the Land of Oz before Dorothy arrived. 7:30pm. $38-$153. Through Sunday, March 12.

MUSIC: Multibeast @ the Hollow Bar + Kitchen, Albany. Consider the Source’s drummer Jeff Mann fuels the new Phish tribute band that also features Chris DeAngelis on bass (Kung Fu), Wiley Griffin on guitar (Teddy Midnight) and Shoheen Owhady on keys (Uncle Ebenezer). 9:30pm. $15.

THEATER: “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” @ Sage College’s Schacht Fine Arts Center, Troy. Celese Raspanti’s concentration camp drama is directed by Leigh Strimbeck. 10am. $15. Through Sunday.

VIDEO: Pauline Boudry / Renate Lorenz @ EMPAC at RPI, Troy. Berlin-based artists are in residence at EMPAC to produce a new moving-image work with multiple performers. For this event, the duo will introduce a program of videos by themselves and others, providing context for and insight into their new project. 7pm. $6.

FILM: “Only Yesterday” @ Clark Art Institute, Williamstown. Isao Takahata’s 1991 anime film follows a city girl who visits country relatives and wonders if she’s been true to the dreams of her childhood self. 6pm. FREE.
