READING: Robert Coover @ UAlbany Performing Arts Center’s Recital Hall, Albany. The award-winning pioneer of experimental and electronic fiction writing steps up to read from his new book, “Huck Out West,” picks up where Mark Twain’s “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” leaves off – on the eve of the Civil War. 8pm. FREE. Also a free seminar at the Recital Hall at 4:15pm.
THEATER: “Assisted Loving: Dating with My Dad” @ theREP, Albany. Gordon Greenberg directs the world premiere of New York Times writer Bob Morris’ poignant new comedy explores the world of contemporary digital dating later in life. 7:30pm. Through February 19.
ARTIST TALK: Melissa Thorne @ Opalka Gallery, Albany. Her artwork addresses multiple formats, including paintings on canvas and paper, and large-scale site-specific wall drawings in ink and watercolor. 6:30pm.
