MUSIC: Ballroom Thieves @ Club Helsinki, Hudson. The roots-rock trio – guitarist Martin Earley, percussionist Devin Mauch and cellist Calin Peters – brings a batch of new songs from their new album, Deadeye. With the Ghost of Paul Revere. 9pm. $15

MUSIC: Rompin’ Stompin’ Rock ‘n’ Roll Christmas with Johnny Rabb’s Big Band @ the Hangar on the Hudson, Troy. Not a BIG big band, but Rabb serves up his annual rollickin’ rockabilly Christmas show with help from the Tichy Boys, a horn section featuring Sax-O-Claus and Josh the Elf and probably a batch of surprise special guests, too. 8pm. $10.
