FREE FEST: PearlPalooza Announces Line-Up of Bands
From Pine Street to Sheridan Avenue, North Pearl Street in downtown Albany will be shut down to traffic and filled up with live music on Saturday, September 17, as the seventh annual PearlPalooza party takes place with two stages and continuous bands from 1-8pm.
And of course there will be a variety of craft and food vendors on site, as well. And yes, there will definitely be beer, too!
Here’s the line-up of bands announced for the 2016 PearlPalooza:
Greater Nippertown’s own garage-popsters featuring Ben Garrett, Dan Wilson, August Sagehorn and Bryan Hogan
2pm: THE GREETING COMMITTEE
In support of their EP It’s Not All That Bad, the Kansas City quartet made their Lollapalooza debut this year. Now it’s on to PearlPalooza…
The Rochester/Brooklyn-based, psych-rock band lands at PearlPalooza in support of their debut EP, Turning Into Water.
The Nashville-based indie duo of Jimmy Brown and CJ Hardee made their Greater Nippertown debut last month at Lucky Strike Social.
The Los Angeles quartet of vocalist/guitarists Emily Kokal and Theresa Wayman, bassist/vocalist Jenny Lee Lindberg and drummer/keyboardist/vocalist Stella Mozgawa will turn PearlPalooza into a big CD release party for Heads Up on the Rough Trade label.
Led by the Crescent City backbeat of drummer Stanton Moore, the quintessential New Orleans band serves up a veritable gumbo of spicey sounds from jam to jazz to funk.
