LIVE: Wild Adriatic @ Putnam Den, 2/20/16

Saratoga Springs power trio Wild Adriatic played a hometown concert last month at Putnam Den, but it was no ordinary show. The band was recording the show for their upcoming live album, and if the recording is as good as their two-hour performance at the Den, well, it promises to be one of the best Local 518 discs of the year.
Singer-guitarist Travis Gray, bassist Rich Derbyshire and drummer Mateo Vosganian were in fine form, proving why their rockin’ reputation has grown exponentially beyond Greater Nippertown with high-profile national performances as Bonnaroo (last year) and Mountain Jam (coming up in June), as well as internationally (WA is slated for a month-long European tour next month, taking them to Belgium, Germany, Slovakia, Sweden, Austria, France and Spain).
Led by guitarist Matt Griffin and saxophonist Connor Dunn, WA pals and frequent tourmates Let’s Be Leonard kicked off the evening with a jazz-tinged blast that set the bar high, revving up the high-spirited crowd with anticipation.
