MUSIC: Dave Mason and Leon Russell @ The Egg, Albany. A double bill featuring two rock music icons – Leon Russell (“Delta Lady,” “Tightrope,” “Song for You”) and Dave Mason (“Feelin’ Alright,” “Only You and I Know,” “We Just Disagree”). MUSIC: Woody Pines @ the Low Beat, Albany. The Nashville troubadour draws from lost back alley anthems and scratchy old 78s of American roots music, whether country blues, jugband, hokum, or hillbilly. Catchy rhythms, jumpy lyrics and a wildly delirious sense of fun. With Tim Vee. 7pm. $8.
MUSIC: The Union College Jazz Ensemble @ Union College’s Emerson Auditorium, Schenectady. Directed by Tim Olsen, the ensemble performs George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with pianist (and Union senior) Max Caplan, as well as songs that stretch from Benny Goodman’s “Sing, Sing, Sing” to Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.” 2pm.
THEATER: “Agnes of God” @ Masonic Hall, Albany. Confetti Stage presents John Pielmeir’s Tony Award-winning drama about the collision between science and faith. Nate Beynon directs. 2pm. $15; $10 students. Through March 6.
