Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center Adds Three New Concerts

The Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington has added a trio of new concerts to its calendar. Tickets for the new shows will be available to members at 12noon today (Wednesday, February 24) and will go on sale to the general public at 12noon on Wednesday, March 2.

Friday, May 6, 8pm
Tickets: $30 & $70
John Hiatt, who The Los Angeles Times calls “one of rock’s most astute singer-songwriters of the last 40 years,” is a master lyricist and satirical storyteller. Hiatt weaves hidden plot twists into fictional tales ranging in topics including redemption, relationships, growing older and surrendering, on his terms.

Joshua Redman is one of the most acclaimed and charismatic jazz artists to have emerged in the decade of the 1990s. Born in Berkeley, California, he is the son of legendary saxophonist Dewey Redman and dancer Renee Shedroff. As The New York Times has proclaimed, “Mr. Redman is a supremely affable and flowing improviser, at times a borderline brilliant one, working in a glow of clarity.”
