MUSIC: Ramblin Jug Stompers @ McGeary’s Pub, Albany. Cousin Clyde, Bowtie, Mister Eck and Wild Bill are back for their third-Monday-of-the-month residency, churning out vintage Americana and DIY back porch acoustic country funk. 7pm. FREE.
MUSIC: Boytoy @ the Low Beat, Albany. The Brooklyn trio – featuring guitarists Saara Untracht-Oakner and Glenn Van Dyke with drummer Matthew Gregory Aidala – makes their Greater Nippertown debut in support of their newly released album debut, Grackle. With Swanfeeder and the Black Ships. 7:30pm.
MUSIC: The Caleb Klauder Country Band @ the Cock ‘n Bull, Galway. On their East Coast tour, the Colorado band brings an old-school cowboy sound with a modern spin. And for this show Patrick M’Gonigle (of the Lonely Heartstring Band) will join them on fiddle for a foot-stompin good time. 8pm.

DISCUSSION: Picturing the Anthropocene: A Conversation @ UAlbany’s Boor Sculpture Studio, Albany. This event launches a campus-wide conversation regarding the Anthropocene, a term that some have used to define a geological era of human-driven destruction. It will feature four brief presentations and perspectives from scholars in the environmental sciences (Mathias Vuille), arts (Danny Goodwin), history (Christopher Pastore) and humanities (Mary Valentis).
