MUSIC: Paul Anka @ Proctors, Schenectady. He scored his hit “Diana” at age 15. He toured with Jerry Lee Lewis, Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry. He wrote Frank Sinatra’s signature song, “My Way,” as well as the once ubiquitous “Tonight Show Theme” for Johnny Carson’s reign. He’s the only artist to land an album on Billboard’s Top 100 Chart in seven separate decades. And at age 74, he’s still goin’ strong… 7:30pm. $25, $45, $65, $85 & $100.

MUSIC: Blessthefall @ Upstate Concert Hall, Clifton Park. The Arizona-based metalheads are on the road in support of their new album, To Those Left Behind. With Stick to Your Guns, Emarosa, Oceans Ate Alaska and Cane Hill. 6:25pm. $18.

MUSIC: Max Lifchitz @ UAlbany’s Performing Arts Center, Albany. The UAlbany faculty member and Grammy-nominated pianist/composer celebrates the half-century mark with the solo piano concert, “Lifchitz Plays Lifchitz: 50 Years of Piano Music.” 7pm. $8; $4 students & seniors.

MUSIC: Keith Pray’s Big Soul Ensemble @ The Van Dyck, Schenectady. Rousing 21st century big band music. 8pm. FREE. UPDATE: This concert has been cancelled. The band is slated to resume their usual first-Tuesday-of-the-month residency at 8pm on Tuesday, December 1.

READING/PERFORMANCE: Nitty Gritty Poetry Slam @ the Low Beat. 7pm.
