MUSIC: The Ed Palermo Big Band @ The Falcon, Marlboro. “The Torture Never Stops: Fifty Shades of Frank” is an equally joyful and horrifying Halloween romp through the songbook of Frank Zappa by the world’s zaniest big band. 7pm. donations encouraged.
MUSIC: Evan Christopher @ the Cock N’ Bull, Galway. One of New Orleans’ all-time greats brings the glorious tone of his clarinet for a Halloween treat. No microphones. No amplifiers. No sound system. Just the great sound of Christopher’s clarinet accompanied by Ehud Asherie on piano. 8pm.
MUSIC/MORE: Monster Smash @ Elks Lodge, North Adams. Featuring music by Arc Iris, SuperHuman Happiness and Smash Frequency. With a spooky photo booth, tarot card readings, palm reader, henna tattoos, candy, snacks, cash bar. 7pm. $15.
EVENT: Freak Show: Halloween Extravaganza @ the Colonial Theatre, Pittsfield. It’s a 1920’s circus/side-show-themed event featuring the band Bella’s Bartok, the cabaret company Gypsy Layne and DJ BFG. 8pm. $35.
MUSIC/FUNDRAISER: Rock & Horror Halloween Concert @ Glens Falls Civic Center’s Heritage Hall, Glens Falls. Across the Pond performs “The Beatles Psychedelic Years: Revolver to Abbey Road.” With AC/DC tribute band High Voltage. A benefit for the Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council and the Hudson River Music Hall. 7:30pm. $10; $5 students & seniors.
