Two New Concerts Announced for the Colonial Theatre
The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield has added a pair of roots music concerts to it upcoming performance calendar. Tickets for the new shows are currently on sale.
Here are the details of the newly announced concert:
Sunday, February 14, 8pm
Bob Marley’s legendary reggae band has sold more than 250 million albums and performed all around the globe. The anchor of the band is Aston “Family Man” Barrett, who in addition to being Marley’s most trusted lieutenant and co-producer, played on countless other classic reggae hits throughout the ’70s.
Thursday, March 24, 8pm

The Godfather of British Blues has had an impressive musical career that spans more than a half century. The English blues singer, pianist, harmonica player, guitarist and songwriter founded the band, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers in the ’60s, and over the years, the band launched the careers of Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Jack Bruce, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Mick Taylor, Walter Trout, Coco Montoya and Buddy Whittington. His current band – Rocky Athas on guitar, Jay Davenport on drums and Greg Rzab on bass – has been together now for over seven years and are featured players on Mayall’s last four albums, including his latest Find a Way to Care.
