Caffe Lena Is Gettin’ Creepy

The venerable Saratoga Springs coffeehouse Caffe Lena is hosting “The Creep Show,” its fifth annual Halloween fundraising concert at 8pm on Saturday (October 24). Expect songs both silly and sinister, as a half dozen Local 518 faves donate their time and talent to big bash.
You’ll hear deadly grooves and devilish tunes from Celtic vocalist Kyle Carey, fiddle & banjo man Kaatskillachia, wry bluegrass balladeer Jim Gaudet, acoustic Americana rockers Grainbelt and country-laced Americana quintet the Lazy Suns.
You’ll also be witness to the debut of a new all-star band, the Wrecking Board, which is comprised of Caffe Lena’s multi-talented board members and staff – President Stan McGaughey (composer, piano), Director Sarah Craig (Euphonium, vocals), Associate Director Dianne Winter (fiddle) and board members Wanda Fischer (guitar, vocals), Michael Eck (mandolin) and George Ward (concertina, vocals).
The Caffe’s fall fundraiser is being sponsored by Olde Saratoga Brewing Company, which means that, yes, the Caffe will be serving beer.
Tickets are $20 in advance; $22 at the door.
